Mashed carrots
Ingredients:
- 6 peeled and washed carrots (like 450 grams or one pound)
- Optional: breast milk or milk formula to make it softer
Preparation:
Chop the carrots and boil in a pot with water; cover. Cook until carrots are tender, about 20 to 25 minutes. Allow to cool everything.
Place carrots in food processor or blender and add a tablespoon of liquid (either breast milk, milk formula or water where cooked carrots) until the desired consistency.
When the baby is bigger, you can vary the recipe with ground beef and cooked chicken, rice or camote (sweet potato).
