Protein intake for weight loss

Protein intake for weight loss - First of all always remember that it is recommended that you try to get most of your nutrients intake through food intake. Protein supplements should not be compared with whole foods because they contain other nutrients such as vitamins, minerals, antioxidants and others. That said, protein supplements, more specifically protein powder are one of the few supplements that suggest you always have at home. Now, with all the different options protein powders on the market, there are some things you should consider before choosing which to make. That is why the purpose of this article is to understand which protein will help you lose weight more efficiently.

Then again, WHAT IS THE BEST PROTEIN POWDER TO LOSE WEIGHT?

If you're buying a specific protein supplement with the hope that is better than someone else to help you burn fat or lose weight, then read carefully because your efforts will be in vain. Can you lose weight by eating / drinking protein powder? Of course yes, but intake of total calories per day that will determine your weight loss, not the use of protein powder. If you ever hear or read a promotion of a specific company claiming that their protein powder is the best protein for weight loss, because do not believe him. That's pure marketing (marketing) in order to "catch" to unwary buyers. When you want to buy a protein supplement powder and let yourself be carried away by the thought that a brand is better than another, instead of thinking about what kind of protein in it, usually just buying an overrated product without even knowing what type of protein contains (soy? Albumin? whey?).

HOW TO CHOOSE PROTEIN POWDER SUPPLEMENT ?

Many protein powders of different companies contain all kinds of ingredients, supposedly maximize weight loss among other things. I've seen some that have dozens of ingredients. Why? The idea behind this marketing strategy is that they involve deceiving their customers by selling them the idea that a greater amount of ingredients is the best protein supplement for one reason or another. However, the reality is that many of these products are so loaded with artificial components (such as flavorings, colorings ) ending with unhealthy ingredients converting protein supplement powder in a highly processed food. When choosing a protein powder look for a supplement that does not have a number of attachments, one that looks simple in its ingredients list. Look at this list in the back of the pot protein. However, the opposite is also true, ie that ideally should not be a single ingredient on the label of powdered protein supplement.

WHAT IS MY PERSONAL CHOICE ?

My protein powder supplement of choice for both weight loss and to gain (by mixing it with milk, peanut butter, yogurt etc) is the whey protein, commonly called whey or whey. Whey protein has a very favorable amino acid profile. Also, it is even better if the whey protein isolate is chosen instead of the protein concentrated whey, because the isolated has slightly less lactose in it, which is why also that this is the first choice intolerant athletes lactose. The isolated whey is basically a purer form of whey protein.

As for when to use the powdered protein supplement, usually it is recommended to limit its use for pre- and / or post-workout. In the other hours of food is best to eat your protein from whole foods, but if it makes you impossible for lack of time or other reasons because the whey protein is considered a good substitute as a protein source.
