The extension of tertiary care is called Quaternary Care. It refers
to the less common but more specific advanced levels of medicine that

experimental medicine, service oriented surgeries and other less common
approaches to treatment and diagnostics. Such procedures take place in a
medical laboratory or clinical laboratory where clinical specimens are
tested in order to gather information about the patient’s health for the
diagnosis, treatment and prevention of disease.
