Ingredients:
  • 1 ½ cups butter, softened
  • 2 cups white sugar
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 tsp. vanilla extract
  • 5 cups flour
  • 2 tsp. baking powder
  • 1 tsp. of salt

In a large bowl, beat butter and sugar until smooth. Add eggs and vanilla. Then add the flour, baking powder and salt. The mixture will be sticky but very thick.

Cover and put the dough in the refrigerator for at least an hour (or overnight).

Preheat oven to 400 ° F (200 ° C).

Stretch the dough with a rolling pin on a floured and icing sugar until about half a centimeter thick surface. Use a cookie cutter to give them the way you want.

Place the cookies on a cookie cutters (you can use waxed paper or silicone that make you easier to remove them) ungreased.

Bake 6 to 8 minutes or until beginning to brown corners. Cool completely before decorating (if you want to speed up the cooling process you can put them in the refrigerator for a few minutes).

Note: If you do not use all the dough, wrapped in plastic can freeze, sticking out most air possible. You can use it until 6 months later. To defrost the dough, leave it in the refrigerator overnight.
